Industry Veteran Rich Kelly Dies

Funeral services will take place Thursday (Aug. 16) in Elkhart, Ind., for RV industry veteran Richard D. “Rich” Kelly, 42, who died on Aug. 10 from injuries received in a motorcycle accident in South Dakota.

For the past six months, Kelly was a sales representative for Renegade Custom Coaches and Trailers of Bristol, Ind. He was in South Dakota for the Harley-Davidson motorcycle owners’ rally in Sturgis, S.D., where Renegade was exhibiting motorcycle-haulers.

The Renegade plant and offices will be closed Thursday for Kelly’s funeral.

Prior to joining Renegade, Kelly was in sales for Topeka, Ind.-based Starcraft RV Inc. for 12 years.

He is survived by his wife, Lori, one daughter, Elizabeth, and one son, Patrick.

Kelly also was sports director for Goshen, Ind., radio station WKAM where he had his own radio show and was a disc jockey.

Memorials may be given to the Faith United Methodist Church in Elkhart or the Rich Kelly Memorial Fund.
