RV Business Seeks Newsmakers Nominees
This is election season and the staff of RVBUSINESS.COM and RV Business magazine decided it’s a good time to ask our readers to submit nominations for RV Business Newsmakers for 2002.
Please e-mail nominations to RV Business Publisher Sherman Goldenberg at: email@example.com. Because Tuesday (Nov. 5), is election day, we have set next Tuesday as the deadline for submitting nominations.
This year’s Newsmakers will be named in the January 2003 edition of RV Business.
Newsmakers nominees can be individuals who have made significant contributions to the RV industry during the past year, or nominees can be companies or industry groups that have made an impact. For example, Fleetwood Enterprises Inc.’s RV Group was an RV Business Newsmaker during the year 2000 and the Go RVing Coalition’s Committee on Excellence was a Newsmaker in 1999.
In 2001, the RV Business Newsmakers were: Mel Adams, CEO of Airxcel Inc.; Denny Bailey, now the general manager of Forest River Inc.’s Survey Division; Cole Davis, now chairman and CEO of the Keystone RV Co. subsidiary of Thor Industries Inc.; Bruce Hertzke, chairman, president and CEO of Winnebago Industries Inc.; Andrew Taitz, chairman and CEO of Workhorse Custom Chassis LLC; Wade F.B. Thompson, Thor’s chairman, president and CEO; Kay Toolson, chairman and CEO of Monaco Coach Corp.; and Chuck Wilkinson, now Fleetwood’s executive vice president and COO.
The joy of participating in the Newmakers selection process and a hearty “thank you very much” are what you, the readers, will get from submitting nominations.
