Nat. City Wants to be Leading RV Lender
Cleveland bank and financial services firm National City Corp. wants to become the leading RV and marine lender within the next five years, the company announced today (Sept. 30).
National City took its RV and marine wholesale and retail lending programs nationwide in August and it planned to shift its program into high gear today at the opening of the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) Convention/Expo in Las Vegas.
Since August, National City has expanded the number of its RV and marine dealer relationships by 35%, said Greg Jelinek, executive vice president of National City Recreation Finance.
The division’s goal is to quadruple its RV- and marine-related originations in five years to $4 billion, from the current $1 billion, he said.
“We’ve assembled the finest team of marine and RV financing professionals with a superior understanding of the needs of dealers and manufacturers and we’re proud to introduce our newest executives and regional managers here (at RVDA Con/Expo) in Las Vegas today,” Jelinek said.
National City Recreation Finance now operates in 38 states and it intends to be in 45 states by the end of this year.
The recreation finance division’s new executives include: Alan Zang, senior vice president and national sales manager; Jim Coburn, senior vice president and service company director; Eric Giering, vice president and Midwest regional sales manager and Jeffrey Williams, vice president and Northeast sales manager.
National City Recreation Finance has created an inside sales team, a Dealer Support Service Center and core underwriting group dedicated to RV and marine dealers across the country. More information about its programs can be found online at www.nationalcityrecreationfinance.com.
