Oregon dealer RV Corral will add a new retail location in Coburg along the I-5 corridor, according to the Register-Guard (Eugene).
The $1 million dealership will occupy a 2-acre lot between the interstate and Roberts Road and is expected to open in early February, according to co-owner Rick Neet. Other dealerships located along the I-5 stretch of the RV manufacturing center include Junction City-based Guaranty RV and San Diego-based La Mesa RV.
The lot was purchased in September by co-owners Need, Steve Christofferson and Jerry McCall for $450,000.
“We’ll be the first RV dealership (RVers) see when they come to Roberts Road and the last one they see when they leave,” Neet said.
The partners launched RV Corral in 1988 and will continue operating the flagship sales and service center on Highway 99 in Eugene, about one mile south of Belt Line Road.
The Coburg lot will sell mostly high-end diesel motor homes by Winnebago Industries Inc. and Newmar Corp., as well as some travel trailers and Winnebago gas-powered units.
RV Corral’s Eugene store is the exclusive Winnebago dealer for the area, and also carries motorhomes and travel trailers made by Teton Homes, Newmar, Komfort Corp. and Lance Camper Mfg. Corp.
The company employs 35 workers and will add eight sales positions and an undetermined number of repair technicians when the Coburg lot opens, Neet told the newspaper.
