January 29, 2004 by · Comments Off on Keystone Plans More Expansion

Thor Industries Inc. subsidiary Keystone RV Co. only recently completed a new assembly plant in Goshen, Ind., and the company is planning more growth in northern Indiana, according to President Ron Fenech. The latest expansion plan may have hit a snag because the Elkhart County Board of Commissioners was unable to reach a decision on a rezoning request from Keystone to allow more expansion on a site near Goshen. Because one member of the three-member board was absent Monday (Jan. 26), the commissioners... Read more

The Federal Reserve decided again today (Jan. 28) to leave interest rates unchanged at their historically low levels, apparently assuming the U.S. economy has entered an era that the Wall Street Journal recently described as the “Goldilocks” economy — not too hot, not too cold. As a result of the Fed’s inaction today, it can be assumed that lenders will keep their prime rates, to which RV-dealer and consumer-loan rates are pegged, at 4%, the lowest level for the prime since 1958.
