Mid-to-highline towables manufacturer Carriage Inc. has promoted Jeffrey L. Miller, its CFO the past eight years, to the position of CEO.
Meanwhile, Glenn Cushman, the Phoenix, Ariz., resident who led the investor group that acquired Millersburg, Ind.-based Carriage in 1999, and who served as CEO since 2001, will remain with Carriage as a “consultant to the sales department and concentrate on dealer relations and long-term corporate planning.”
Cushman, who continues as the principal owner of Carriage and the chairman of its Board, said Miller recently “negotiated a banking relationship with National City Bank that is a testament to how far we have come over the past few years.”
Miller, a Goshen, Ind., resident, joined Carriage as CFO in 1996 after eight years as audit and accounting services manager at CPA firm McGladrey & Pullen. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University and became a CPA in 1992.
“Carriage is a terrific company and I look forward to the challenge of building on our quality and increasing our presence in the RV industry,” Miller said.
