The new lightweight towable division at Gulf Steam Coach Inc., Nappannee, Ind., weighed in for 2005 at the Louisville Trade Show with the entry-level to midpriced Gulf Breeze line of travel trailers and two other lightweight towable series. Several of Gulf Breeze’s 11 floorplans feature either soft-sided hybrid or hard-sided queen-bed rear slideouts. With welded aluminum frames and vacuum-bonded fiberglass walls, Gulf Breeze’s off-white parchment decor is accented by six-panel hardwood doors. Retail prices start at $12,500. Also new for 2005 is the aluminum-and-vacuum-bonded-fiberglass 7 1/2-foot-wide StreamLite (pictured), an ultralightweight series in 19- to 30-foot lengths – some with single slideouts with retail prices from $12,500 to the upper-$20,000 range. Gulf Stream’s new Emerald Bay series with four floorplans in lengths of 28-35 feet are priced in the mid-$20,000 to mid-$30,000 range. Features include pass-through storage, rounded safety glass windows and six-panel doors. All three lines are being manufactured in Gulf Stream’s new factory in Etna Green, Ind.
