Wholesale parts distributor DTI RV Parts & Appliances is doubling the size of its Lakeland, Fla., warehouse, increasing operating capacity to 22,000 square feet.
DTI said the expansion makes the Lakeland location one of the largest facilities in the Middlebury, Ind-based company’s network of warehouses. In addition to Middlebury and Lakeland, DTI operates facilities in Dallas, Texas, Albany, N.Y., and Bakersfield, Calif.
Trey Miller, vice president of sales and marketing, said the added square footage in Lakeland is an extension of an expansion plan that was initiated two years ago.
“We replaced all of our warehouses with larger ones,” Miller said. “In addition to our immediate needs, we’re also looking ahead so we’ll have extra capacity available.”
Miller said the Lakeland expansion will specifically allow the company to better serve dealerships and service centers in the Southeast.
“Over the past several years we have aggressively added new product lines, while continuing to add to the vast amount of products from our current vendors and it just proved to be to much for the old location,” he said. “This new space will allow us to move ahead in our expansion plans and continue to achieve a 98%-plus order fulfillment rate.”
