Country Coach Signs First Canadian Dealer
Country Coach Inc. reached an agreement with Westgate RV Centre Ltd., Kelowna, B.C., to sell its lineup of highline diesel coaches, representing the Junction City, Ore.-based company’s first Canadian retail outlet.
In August, Country Coach received approvals from Transport Canada for import into Canadian provinces while also gaining certification from the Canadian Standards Association (CSA).
According to a press release, Westgate, one of the largest RV dealers in Western Canada, will immediately begin marketing Country Coach in all of British Columbia and Alberta. Featured lines include the Tribute 260, Inspire 360, Allure 400 Series, Intrigue 530 and Magna 630.
“Our enthusiasm about joining the Canadian market seems to be eclipsed only by the excitement of our new Canadian customers,” said Jim Howard, Country Coach senior vice president of sales and service. “Selecting dealers and service centers with reputations for integrity and quality is crucial to our entrance into Canada.”
Westgate RV, a 27-year-old dealership owned by Art and Faye Pike, received the Canada RV Dealer of the Year award for 2000. The company has experienced steady growth in staff and facilities over the years, including an expansion to its service facilities that will now offer Country Coach certified service.
“We have been actively pursuing Country Coach for over seven years in order to handle their industry recognized quality luxury motorhomes,” said Art Pike, a former president of the Canadian Recreational Vehicle Dealer Association (CRVDA). “Now that Country Coach has received CSA & Department of Transport Canada approvals, we will have 2007 models in stock within days. Our BC certified sales professional staff and BC certified RV technicians are already receiving extensive product sales & service training at the Junction City manufacturing facilities.”
