Keystone Adds Fuzion Fiver to SURV Line

Keystone RV Co. has raised its profile in the sport utility RV (SURV) market with the introduction of the Fuzion fifth-wheel toy hauler for 2007. The northern Indiana company also has revised its light-weight offerings with the ultra-lightweight Passport travel trailer series. “We believe towable SURVS and light-weight trailers will continue to be the fastest growing segments in our industry,” said Don Clark, executive vice president of the Goshen, Ind., Thor Industries Inc. subsidiary. Built on a tubular aluminum superstructure with gel-coat laminated fiberglass sidewalls, Fuzion is available in five 30- to 40-foot floorplans with up to three slideouts – each equipped with glass sliding patio-style doors creating a vapor barrier between the garage and living area. Garages range from 10 to 14 feet deep and are equipped with 8-foot ramps with beavertails to decrease the entry angle. With retail prices starting in the mid-$40,000s, Fuzion joins the NRG and Raptor in Keystone’s SURV lineup. The entry-level Passport, available in 10 floorplans with up to two slideouts in lengths of 20 to 33 feet, is targeted at owners of half-ton pickup trucks or SUVs. With an aluminum superstructure and laminated fiberglass sidewalls, the lightest Passport comes in with a dry weight of 2,800 pounds. The Passport features Keystone’s Load Equalization System that spreads the two axles 10 inches farther apart to more evenly distribute weight.
