Skyline Reports Lower Fiscal ’07 Sales, Income
Recreational vehicle and manufactured housing builder Skyline Corp. reported lower sales and earnings for its fiscal 2007 fourth quarter and full year, ending May 31.
For the year, the Elkhart, Ind.-based company posted sales of $376.4 million compared to $508.5 million the previous year while net income fell to $2.59 million from $14.3 million.
Fourth-quarter sales totaled $88.5 million versus $136.2 million a year ago and net income declined to $2.25 million from $5.15 million.
Skyline reported that sales for its RV group were $93.1 million compared to $132.1 million in fiscal 2006. The RV group’s sales for fiscal 2007’s fourth quarter declined to $24.5 million from $38.8 million the year prior.
Sales for Skyline’s manufactured housing group for fiscal 2007 were $272.4 million compared to $376.4 million in fiscal 2006. The group’s sales for the fiscal 2007 fourth quarter totaled $64 million compared to $97.4 million of the comparable period of fiscal 2006.
