Supplier Genesis Makes Fast-Growing Co. List
Recreational vehicle and manufactured housing component supplier Genesis Products Inc. was recently ranked among the nation’s fastest growing privately held manufacturing companies by Inc. magazine.
According to a press release, the Elkhart, Ind.-based firm was listed eighth on the 26th Annual Inc. 500 ranking, with three-year growth of 845.7%. The 2007 Inc. 500 list will be published in the September edition of the magazine.
Formed in 2002, Genesis produces laminated paneling and trim, hardwood cabinet doors and interior passage doors for the RV and MH sectors. The company employs around 200 workers and provides products and services to over 50 customers from its three plants in Elkhart and nearby Goshen.
“It is an honor to be named to the Inc. 500 list,” said Jon Helmuth, president of Genesis Products. “It’s really a testament to both the hard work of our staff and to our partnership with our customers.”
The 2007 Inc. 500 includes a grouping of companies with aggregate revenue of $16 billion. Rankings are based on revenue growth from 2003 through 2006. To qualify, companies had to be U.S.-based and privately held as of Dec. 31, 2006, and have at least $600,000 in net sales in the base year.
