A Jacksonville, Fla., company has launched a comprehensive RV website offering consumers comparison shopping for new RVs and a forum for dealers to sell new and used units via the Internet.
MyRVlink.com, hosted by Bluemark Enterprises Inc., features an electronic version of the NADA Guide from NADA Appraisal Guides Inc. along with links to finance and insurance companies, RV clubs and shows, aftermarket retailers and dealers with nearby destinations.
The site also offers an “RVBug” forum that provides answers to basic questions about RVs in addition to allowing members to create profiles and join community networks.
“We are trying to build something that is a tool for RVers and owners so they can find good information,” said Salem Hassan, Bluemark president and former vice president and operations manager for Suncoast RV, a chain of 16 dealerships based in Florida. “MyRVlink is a consumer resource for just about anything that an RVer needs to know.”
Two years in the making and employing eight people plus outside consultants, myRVlink.com launched March 15 and already has attracted several hundred consumer members who joined the site for free and will receive e-mail and direct advertising.
Advertising sales are being coordinated by D.P. Ball Advertising Inc., Chardon, Ohio.
“The site is more than just a listing of RVs,” said Daniel Ball, president of D.P. Ball. “You can go to our website and find just about every manufacturer, plan a vacation or find out anything you want to know about any RV on the market today. MyRVlink was created to provide the RV customer with a lot of information. And we are assisting RV dealers with two very solid direct-response advertising programs. When dealers really need traffic, when it comes down to crunch time, they want direct-response advertising.”
Hassan said a myRVlink.com data team works daily to update the site. “That is all they do, spend time on the web looking for updates,” said Hassan, who also operates BreezeGo.com, a company that provides e-mail and online advertising programs and maximizes websites so that they end up near the top of search engine findings. “We’ve almost gotten it down to a science.”
