Texas Dealer Ancira RV Closing Temple Outlet
Longtime Texas retailer Ancira RV is consolidating operations, closing down its retail outlet in Temple.
A call by RVBusiness to the dealer confirmed a report by local NBC affiliate KCEN-TV that the company will still maintain its stores in Boerne and Alvarado. Another store in Denton was closed in 2006.
Kevin Ketner, general manager of the Temple location, cited current economic conditions as the reason for the closing. According to KCEN-TV, 18 of the 21 employees have been laid off.
Ernesto Ancira Jr., who founded the RV retail chain, oversees Ancira Enterprises that includes several San Antonio-based auto dealerships.
