Clark Succeeds Florea as Dutchmen President

Thor Industries Inc. announced today (April 1) that Don Clark, formerly vice president of sales for Keystone RV Inc., has been appointed president of Dutchmen Manufacturing Inc., reporting to Ron Fenech, president and CEO of Keystone.  Rich Florea, previously president of Dutchmen, resigned to pursue other opportunities and will be a consultant to Thor.

“Dutchmen will remain an independent company and will continue to develop unique Dutchmen-branded products to serve its dealer network, with products manufactured in Dutchmen facilities. This new organizational structure promises to accelerate Dutchmen’s opportunity in the marketplace,” said Dicky Riegel, Thor COO.

Keystone and Dutchmen are based in Goshen, Ind.

Thor is the world’s largest manufacturer of recreation vehicles and a major builder of commercial buses

Don, Good to see you are doing well for your self. You’ve come along ways from swinging at changups in the dirt at the old Missionary Campgroungs. Now it’s on you to have a positive effect on Dutchman and a positive effect on the the world around you. I can think of no better man for the job. Go get em’ & God Bless!

I wish Don luck in his capacity as President of Dutchmen Mfg; I’ve never worked with him, so it’ll be interesting to see what his influence will be with this division. I’d hope that those of us both in and around the industry will give credit where credit is due; a lot of great things have occurred with the Dutchmen product under Rich’s tenure, and those contributions should not be forgotten: 1.) The reinvention of the once stand-alone Aerolite division, 2.) Bringing the Four Winds brand (sister product to Dutchmen) to prominence, 3.) Establishment of a western based production facility, 4.) Updating and modernizing Lite, and Laminate production to the new CR 38 Facilities and 5.) Introducing a market competitive high end travel trailer and 5th wheel (Colorado). Like anything, these initiatives were pushed through successfully by the work of a lot of good people within the organization, but like any ‘administration,’ you get the credit……or the blame…..for what happens on your watch. :-) I wish both Don and Rich luck in their new responsibilities.
