tadpole-trailers1Tadpole Trailers Inc., Brighton, Ontario, is offering a queen-size bed in the traditionally styled 10 1/2-foot-long Tadpole Queen teardrop trailer. ”The big thing is the weight,” said Tadpole Vice President Sylvia Doherty. ”They are a basic teardrop design that been around since the 1930s, but we are using modern material and CDC router  equipment so that we can build them without seams.” Besides the 800-pound Queen, Tadpole offers a 7 3/4-foot-long Egg model that weighs in at 200 pounds that can be towed behind a motorcycle. Built with polypropylene honeycomb core, the exterior is fiberglass cloth combined with a polyester resin. The Queen has a door with windows with screens on both sides, and is equipped standard with 12-volt deep-cycle batteries, tailgate awning, reading lights and a 110-volt electrical connection that can be used at campground. ”The windows add a lot of light,” Doherty said, adding that the tailgate kitchen can be customized to an extent. MSRP: $8,995.

Very cool …. It would be nice if someone offered a aluminum framed fabric covered version . Stripped down the weight . Similar to a farm fabric building on A Micro scale . Perhaps using motorcycle wheels an rims . And a solid axle.
