The Miami County (Ind.) Council has given initial approval to provide up to $150,000 in incentives over the next five years for Riverside Travel Trailers Inc. to create 85 jobs over the next two years, according to the Kokomo Tribune.

The company currently employs 40 at its Peru, Ind., facility.

Riverside Travel Trailers says the number of new employees is scheduled to reach 60 by March 1, 2010, and 85 new positions will be filled by July 31, 2011.

The company is located in a 90,000-square-foot building, which formerly housed Timber Land RVs and closed in January.

As reported by RVBUSINESS.COM, the first unit manufactured by Riverside Travel Trailers was completed in July. The company says the 25th travel trailer was produced Monday (Aug. 17). Riverside Travel Trailers says it plans to produce six different models of travel trailers and started manufacturing the second model this week.
