Caravan Salon 2009 Gives RV Industry Fresh Stimulus

As hoped, the RV sector received a positive boost by CARAVAN SALON DÜSSELDORF, the world’s largest RV show, which concluded over the weekend.

The recent staging in Düsseldorf, Germany, closed with a record participation of 161,200 visitors from 37 countries and good sales figures, according to a news release. A total of 580 exhibitors from 25 nations showcased their extensive selections of RVs, as well as accessories and travel destinations. CARAVAN SALON 2009 fulfilled the RV industry’s expectations and demonstradted that after a difficult first half year business is getting better.

Wilhelm Niedergöker, managing director of the show’s organizer Messe Düsseldorf, commented, “161,200 visitors from 37 countries were registered at this year’s CARAVAN SALON (2008: 158,000) and clearly exceeded our expectations of 150,000 visitors. Furthermore, considering the current economic climate in Europe it is all the more positive to note that approximately 18,200 visitors came to Düsseldorf from abroad. CARAVAN SALON DÜSSELDORF is the sector’s foremost trade fair, traditionally accounting for roughly 10% of the industry’s annual turnover. This year CARAVAN SALON created a particularly important momentum – 49% of visitors came to CARAVAN SALON with intentions to buy.”

“The attendance and the number of deals closed, which both clearly surpassed our expectations, have rewarded the exhibitors’ commitment to CARAVAN SALON 2009,” said Klaus Förtsch, president of the the Caravanning Industry Association (CIVD). “These results prove that the efforts of leisure vehicle manufacturers to develop lighter, more economic and lower-cost RVs also paid off. CARAVAN SALON 2009 underlines the recovery trends in the RV sector felt since the beginning of the second half of 2009. This strengthens the sector’s confidence to return to growth in 2010.”

Good Evening! My name is Amber Carter and I am from Cary, IL. I am sending this comment as a request for you to donate an RV. Yes, I know this seems like an Unrealist request. However, it was suggested to me and I am Expecting A Miracle here. I am a single mother of a 13 year old boy, whom I’ve recently enrolled into a facility in Rexford, MT. The facility is called New Horizons Youth Ranch. They specialize in the care of boys who struggle in the home, in school and in the world. My son has been in and out of the hospital since he was 9. He was diagnoses with ADHD when he was 4. His diagnoses has since yet changed to Adhd, ODD, and Borderline Bi-polar disorder. This has been an ongoing struggle. With recent events God has opened doors and windows for my son to be able to receive the care he’s finally recieving. With that being said, financially I am struggling. I have had to move from my home and into a friends home. I have 3 jobs currently so that I may pay for his tuition while he’s there. (Because this school is not approved by the state of IL the Illinos Board of Education will not help with funding.) The tuition is $3,650.00 per month. The owners of the facility have agreed that I may pay $2,150.00 per month, with the understanding that I will also continue to pay the balance as I go after he returns home. The stay is a minimum of 12months. I am an Amazing hair dresser. I have been doing my clients out of their homes. I know that if I was to have an RV and start a business traveling to business’s and industrial parks I would be Successful. I already have clients that have asked me to come to their place of business, however, it is not manageable. I need a salon with a shampoo bowl and station, I need a salon that I can go anywhere and do any service that is needed. I am known in my area and know a lot of business owners that would help make my RV Salon successful. I am Desperate at this point and need to get this going. If you may, Please consider this. I know I am asking for a lot, but I can’t help but think… How many people would I be showing your RV too? How many people that would’ve never stepped foot in an RV. It would be great advertising for your company and I Can Promise you that I will be successful! I am A Mother on a Mission, and this is regards to my son’s life and Future. This will be part of his testimony as well. I have been on a reality t.v show once for hair and even though it was small and really non-significant, it was a big deal in our town. Women have already been doing this, however, none in my town, or even state. This is an amazing idea, and a huge investment. It may be the next biggest francise yet. I know once I get this going many hairdressers will want to jump on this. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please Consider.
