‘Canada Night’ Plans Announced for Louisville RV Show

RVDA of Canada is hosting its traditional Canada Night Dinner on Nov. 30, the night before the National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky., which runs from Dec. 1-3. The dinner will be at the Galt House in Louisville. The cost is $65 (Canadian) per person in advance, $85 at the door. Navistar Eyes China Diesel Engine Joint Venture

Truck maker Navistar International Inc. says it is exploring a joint venture with a Chinese vehicle manufacturer to build diesel engines for commercial vehicles in China. Navistar said today (Oct. 30)  the proposed 50-50 joint venture with Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co. would establish a research and design center in China’s Anhui province, according to Associated Press. Cummins Inc. Reports 59% Profit Decline in Q3

Cummins Inc. said today (Oct. 30) third-quarter net income fell 59% from a year ago as it sold fewer engines for heavy-duty trucks and recreational vehicles. But Cummins’ profit outpaced Wall Street’s forecast, and two of the company’s units returned to profitability after losing in the previous quarter. RVIA: Strong Consumer Interest at California RV Show

Many RV dealers reported encouraging sales numbers and strong consumer interest at this year’s California RV Show, held Oct. 16 – 25 at the Fairplex in Pomona, Calif., according to a release from the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) Nearly 19,200 consumers attended the show this year, down 9% from last year’s 21,123.   Cozy Traveler lightweight travel trailer Robert (Bob) Wyman announced this week that Goshen, Ind.-based Cozy Traveler Inc. would be increasing production and adding people to its work force starting immediately, according to a news release.
