GulfTran LLC, a new company formed by the principles of RV manufacturer Gulf Stream Coach Inc., expects to market between 750 and 1,000 12- to 25-seat commercial shuttle buses annually beginning in November. It’s all part of a new shirt on the part of the closely held, Nappanee, Ind.-based company outside of the tradtional recreational vehicle business. Bruce Urban, the Canadian RV dealership magnate who sold about $130 million of the vehicles this year and will open his first U.S. location in Riverside, Calif., has a different way of selling RVs. Gulf Stream Recalls 50 Idled Motorhome Workers

Gulf Stream Coach Inc., Nappanee, Ind., has hired back 50 laid off workers during the last six weeks in its motorhome division and expects to increase production of ”affordable” Conquest Class C’s and gas-powered Sun Voyager Class A’s by 25% by the first of the year. ”We are increasing production and we are bringing people back,” said David Middleton, motorized national sales manager.
