Renegade Aims IKON Motorcoach at RV Market
Bristol, Ind.-based Renegade/Kibbi LLC, a supplier of luxury motorcoaches to the racing industry, has expanded its product line to include a new model targeting the traditional RV market. The 2010 45-foot IKON by Renegade is built on a 56,650-pound GVWR Freightliner Coronado truck chassis equipped with 450-hp Detroit Diesel DD 13 or 560-hp DD 15 front-end diesel engines. It features unique, quality crafted baggage and compartment doors for easier operation and larger carrying capacity, according to a news release. Multiple air conditioning units, precise power leveling jacks, standard undercoating and other top features are standard equipment. IKON also features standard leather Flexsteel furniture and hide-a-bed, solid surface Corian countertops, polished tile flooring and 40- and 31-inch SONY TVs. Renegade offers a variety of floorplans and options, appliances and accessories. Renegade has shown the highly customizable vehicle at several RV shows since introducing it last fall at the Hershey show and is receiving good results, according to Danny Lagunas, national sales manager. “Customers like the feel and amenities of a bus but the towing power of a commercial vehicle,” he said. MSRP: $500,000 range.
