Royal Cargo Trailers logoRoyal Cargo Trailers announced Tuesday (Jan. 19) that it acquired H & H Trailers.

Jim Bergan Sr., president of Royal Cargo Trailers, stated he is “pleased with the H & H acquisition to be able to expand manufacturing into the Western states.”

H & H trailers with locations in Clarinda, Iowa, and Kingman, Ariz., is a leading manufacturer of steel and aluminum utility trailers and custom enclosed cargo trailers. H & H has been in business since 1993.

H & H Trailers and Royal Cargo Trailers will be run as separate entities, however, Bergan noted, “with having the two companies, we will definitely have some distinct buying synergies.”

Royal Cargo Trailers, headquartered in Middlebury, Ind., has been in business since 2003. The company manufactures custom steel and aluminum enclosed trailers and aluminum utility trailers under the RC and MTI brand names.

Details of the transaction were not disclosed.
