RV Learning Center Offers $2,500 Scholarships

The RV Learning Center is now accepting applications for its 2010-2011 scholarship program, according to a release from the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA). The RV Learning Center scholarship program awards $2,500 scholarships to deserving college sophomore, junior, and senior undergraduate students majoring in business, finance, economics, accounting or other RV related subjects. RVIA: January Wholesale Shipments Up 116%

Ready for more good news? Wholesale shipments to retailers of all RVs were reported at 15,800 units in the January 2010 survey of manufacturers, more than twice the total from this same month last year. Both towable and motorhome categories participated in last month’s growth with all categories at the same or substantially above their January totals last year, according to the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA). 17th Annual Providence Show Opens Today

The 17th Annual Rhode Island RV & Camping Show opens today (Feb. 26) at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence and runs through Sunday. 5K Campsites Planned Near Bristol Speedway

The owner of Cedars Golf Course announced a project Thursday (Feb. 25) to gradually turn the Volunteer Parkway facility into a massive camping, parking, hotel and retail complex that would work in tandem with the nearby Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tenn.
