The Wisconsin Association of Campground Owners (WACO) Convention was held March 18-21 at Stevens Point, Wis., with 281 people representing 105 campgrounds attending. Adaptive Materials Inc., the leader in manufacturing portable power through solid oxide fuel cells, was recently awarded $3 million through the Centers of Energy Excellence Program (COEE). Wayne Davis and David Disiere of Fort Worth, Texas-based DADI LLC have announced the acquisition of Tuscany, the leading manufacturer of specialty vehicles, including luxury vans, personal use mobility vans, hotel shuttle vans and specialty trucks. Heartland Adding Facilities and Jobs in Elkhart

Heartland Recreational Vehicles LLC announced Monday I(March 29)  that it will expand its operations in Elkhart, Ind., creating up to 265 new jobs by 2013, according to a state government news release. The company, which manufactures fifth-wheel, lightweight and extended stay RVs, will invest more than $2.6 million to purchase and equip a 125,000-square-foot manufacturing facility formerly used by Damon Corp.
