Stat Surveys: January Motorized Sales Off 14%

Retail sales of Class A and C motorhomes were down 14% in January, Statistical Surveys reported today (March 11).

Compared with January 2009, Class A sales were off 16.1%, while Class C sales were off 10%.

Winnebago Industries Inc. edged out Fleetwood RV Inc. for the top spot with a 17.8% market share vs. Fleetwood’s 17.6%.

In the Class A market, Winnebago held serve with a 19.5% share vs. Fleetwood’s 18.7%.

In Class C sales, Fleetwood was tops with a 19.3% market share vs. Coachmen RV’s 18.4%. Winnebago was third with a 14.8% share.
