Stanley battery testerModern engines are technological wonders, but they still can succumb to old-fashioned problems like dead batteries. Baccus Global, a division of Stanley, offers a selection of portable battery chargers in 15-amp, 25-amp and 40-amp ratings that provide the company’s One Touch Technology QST Turbo-Start — which counts down to when your vehicle is ready to start — along with a three-stage automatic rapid charge system, spark-resistant reverse hook-up protection, microprocessor-controlled digital diagnostics and automatic compensation for temperature and lower voltage. It’s newest charger, however, can show a lot more on its digital LCD screen than battery-related information (such as charging status and battery status) — plug its attached Code Reader to the OBD port under the dash, and it will display any fault code stored in the vehicle’s computer. Thus informed, you can either repair it yourself or take it to a mechanic — and be able to tell him exactly what’s wrong. For more information, contact Baccus Global, 399 NW 2nd Ave., Suite 150, Boca Raton, FL 33432; (877) 571-2391, www.baccusglobal.com.

Black & Decker’s web site indicates that their battery charger line was sold to you. What happened to their “Simple Start” battery charger. I have three in the family and they are by far the most efficient and useful charger we have. Do you have a like product? I would like to get some more for grand kids. KIm
