RVIA Seeking ‘Extra Mile’ Go RVing Donations
Editor’s Note: Gary Labella, vice president and chief marketing officer for the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA), sent out this memo this week to RVIA members.
As the RV industry emerges from the economic downfall, the Go RVing campaign continues to build awareness and generate leads, in order to boost our recovery. The Ambassadors of Affordability campaign is delivering more than twice as many web visits as last year and leads have risen by 70%.
Voluntary funding raised through RVIA’s Go the Extra Mile appeal has helped to supplement lower income from new unit assessments, keeping Go RVing as strong and effective as possible.
Although the forecast looks favorable for the upcoming year, the new unit assessments will still trail behind 2006-2008 levels. Your contributions to Go the Extra Mile’s 2010 – 2012 pledge drive will provide additional Go RVing income as RV shipments recover, and visibly demonstrate your ommitment to the entire industry. Contributions pledged this year will allow your company to be recognized in the remaining months of 2010, 2011 and 2012 at all RVIA-sponsored industry events. If you are already participating in the 2010-2012 Go the Extra Mile program and would like to increase your contribution, you will be recognized for the remainder of this pledge drive at the higher contribution level.
We understand that some companies make budget decisions in the summer months and want to give you ample time to determine whether to increase the amount of your 2010-2012 pledge, or become a new Extra Mile donor. As you consider your level of participation, please note that new incentives to Go the Extra Mile, introduced last year include:
- Special Recognition For First-Time Contributors. If this is your company’s first time contributing to the Extra Mile program, you will receive special recognition at the National RV Trade Show including a listing in the Outlook market expansion showcase program.
- New On-Line Recognition For All Contributors. All contributors will receive special recognition on the RVIA.org website.
- Receive Additional Recognition in Your Booth in Louisville and in Your Own Corporate Offices! If you pledge to contribute a minimum of $10,000 between 2010 and 2012, you will receive a beautiful 5.5’x3.5’ banner depicting images from the “What Will You Discover? Go RVing” advertising campaign for display in your corporate offices.
- Receive Quarterly Billing Statements. If you prefer, RVIA will be able to invoice contributors in each quarter of the three-year pledge. If at any time you’d like to increase your contribution, just let us know and we will make the proper arrangements.
These new incentives are in addition to the many Go the Extra Mile benefits outlined in the attached documents.
