Congress passed a health care reform bill, and the implications are just starting to affect local companies.
To inform companies of new laws and implications, the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce is hosting a health care reform forum on July 20 from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Matterhorn Conference Center, 2041 Cassopolis St., Elkhart, Ind.
Recognizing that small businesses may lack the legal and human resources staff to understand the impact of the new regulations, the chamber has assembled a panel to describe timelines, insurance changes and delivery of care issues, according to a news release.
The panel will include an attorney from Baker and Daniels, insurance guidance from Tom Housand and Associates and medical input from Elkhart General Hospital.
Registration for the forum is $15 for chamber members and $25 for non-members. Members of the Better Business Bureau may also register at the member rate. Contact the chamber at (574) 293-1531 or www.elkhart.org.
