TrailManor Inc.’s Elkmont line of super-lightweight upright trailers has been expanded to three models, with the introduction of the all new Elkmont 22.

The 22-foot trailer offers a more compact version of the Elkmont 26 floorplan, without the sofa and bedroom wall. There’s a walk-around, queen-size bed, a full-sized dinette, marble-look countertops and woodgrain floors, according to a news release.

The Elkmont 22 has a base dry weight of just 2,348 pounds. With TrailManor’s Value Package plus awning, AC, alloy wheels, and electric tongue jack, the trailer is still a svelte 2,850 lbs., which means it can be easily towed with most popular minivans, crossovers and SUVs.

Appliances include a full-sized refrigerator, three-burner stove, and microwave. Custom upholstery, maple cabinets, and custom lighting and window treatments add to the elegance. The Elkmont 22 also features a high definition TV that swivels for viewing, and a bathroom that includes a tub and shower, plus a conventional toilet.

“The Elkmont 22 was created based on dealer requests for a highly-attractive ‘step up’ line of trailers,” said Keith Hulsey, TrailManor vice president of sales and marketing. “Now we have 22-, 24-, and 26-foot models, with features that give dealers the flexibility to guide customers to the ideal trailer for their desires.”

Since introducing its first upright travel trailer, the 24-foot Elkmont in late 2008, TrailManor has seen solid sales in the new category. The company also offers the Elkmont 24 in a bunkhouse floorplan, making it the lightest bunkhouse trailer in the marketplace, and the Elkmont 26, a tandem-axle trailer with a sofa and private bedroom.

Since 1983, Lake City, Tenn.-based TrailManor has been manufacturing unique lightweight travel trailers. In 2009, the company introduced its first upright travel trailer, the Elkmont, a 24-foot trailer that is 1,500 pound lighter than similar competitive models.

TrailManor also produces a line of hardwall folding trailers that provide the easy towing of a pop up with the amenities of upright trailers, such as a hardwall bathroom with tub, a complete kitchen with oven, a three-way refrigerator, and designer fabrics. A folding TrailManor can be opened as easily as opening a car trunk. All TrailManor models can be towed by properly-equipped minivans, crossovers, or sport utility vehicles.
