The Goshen (Ind.) City Council has approved a property tax phase-in for Travelmate LLC, a new builder of cargo trailers, the Goshen News reported.

The property is located at 2249 Lincolnway East, and production is set to start by Nov. 1, according to Rae Johnston, the building’s owner and a principal in the new business.  The assistance is coming through the city’s economic revitalization area program.

The program offers a two-year phase-in for vacant industrial buildings in a designated area, with 100% of the taxes waived the first year and 50% waived the second year.

The start-up business manufactures small utility cargo trailers and plans to employ 15 to 16 workers by the end of the year.
