Riverside Travel Trailers Inc., Peru, Ind., has introduced an optional dog kennel in its 34-foot 29RLS single-slide Riverside travel trailer. ”It’s really a convenience because your dog can travel in the trailer in comfort while you are towing,” said Mark Gerber, Riverside vice president of sales, who described the 29RLS as a ”couples” floorplan. The all-fiberglass kennel option was inspired by Riverside President Ken Licklider, an internationally known breeder of trained dogs who owns Vohne Liche Kennels in nearby Denver, Ind. ”We made a couple of trailers for him that ultimately we are going to make for the military,” Gerber said. The dog-kennel floorplan will make its debut at the 48th Annual National RV Trade Show Nov. 30 to Dec. 2 in Louisville, Ky. The kennel, which sits below the TV in the rear-living room floorplan, can be accessed from outside the coach or inside through a screen door and is outfitted with a drain for easy cleanup. The floorplan also features a patio-style door and ”a unique walk-through bathroom,” according to Gerber. MSRP: $24,900 with kennel
