Chalet RV Announces New Truck Camper Line

One year ago this week, Chalet RV introduced the most innovative and aggressive line of truck campers ever built. Their line of Chalet Truck Campers reset the standards for high-end truck campers, according to a news release.

This week Gary Hubbard, general manager of the Truck Camper Division of Chalet RV, is introducing the Ascent line of truck campers. While the Chalet Camper line was designed for people with larger trucks, the all new Ascent line is for people with heavy duty half-ton and larger trucks with either short bed or long beds, according to a news release. The Ascent line includes five eight-foot-wide, lightweight truck campers ranging from 9 to 10 1/2 feet.

The first units are being built now and will be available to dealers in January.

The revolutionary Ascent line of truck campers features many items that are not usually found in recreational vehicles of this size. Most Ascent Camper models offer the convenience of complete use of your camper, whether the slide rooms are in or out. Ascent Campers have up to 12 inches wider floors than most other truck campers of their size and have a much lower climb to access to the bed area and lower steps to the bathroom and dinette.

The bedside hamper and the small virtually unusable wardrobes found in many truck campers have given way to a more accessible bed area and large (up to 42 inches wide) floor-to-ceiling wardrobe on the main floor. Ascent campers has also lowered the steps to the bathroom and dinette.

Ascent Campers have carpeted and lighted basement storage areas, No other truck camper offers as much storage as a Ascent Camper.

Ascent Campers are constructed using welded high grade aluminum framing and solid construction grade block foam insulation. All panels are vacuum laminated using urethane based adhesives. All models incorporate floor ducted heat and the ceiling is ducted for the optional air conditioning.

Ascent Campers have large thermal pane windows and carry 50 gallons of fresh water and 30 gallons each of grey and black water.

Dealer territories are available nationwide for both Chalet and Ascent Truck Campers.
