Cummins Power Generation celebrated a significant milestone for its recreational vehicle business — the building of the two millionth Cummins Onan generator — with a gala event held in December at its Minneapolis headquarters.
The company has been making RV generators for over 80 years, and has held a high market share ever since the dawn of the modern RV industry in the 1960s, according to a news release.
As reported by RVBUSINESS.com in a story posted on Jan. 3, the event was an occasion for a look back at the product innovations of the past, as well as the comprehensive product line available today, including the popular Hybrid Quiet Diesel line.
Garry Enyart, director of RV business for Cummins Power Generation, noted, “The future of the RV industry looks bright, after suffering a slowdown in the recent recession, and we expect that Cummins Onan generators will remain in great demand for their compact size, reliability and technical innovations. We are working on our third million.”
