Jacksonville Show to Feature $20M Inventory
With sales of recreational vehicles (RVs) on an upswing in 2010 and more orders projected this year, organizers are expecting record attendance during the Jacksonville RV SuperShow scheduled Feb. 24 – 27 at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center west of downtown Jacksonville, Fla., The St. Augustine Record reported.
“It’s a great opportunity for people to preview the newest RVs and also take advantage of some exceptional dealer discounts, factory rebates and other incentives offered at the show,” said Alan Dulberger, regional president of the Florida RV Trade Association (FRCTA). “We’ll have more than $20 million in recreation vehicles and accessories showcased at this year’s event, including more than 400 new and used motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth-wheels and tent campers.”
This year, the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) expects total shipments of 246,000 RVs nationwide – up from about 160,000 shipped in 2009.
“While we’ll have the larger, more elaborate motorhomes on display, RV consumers have been buying more lower-priced, small-to-mid size RVs, and this year’s Jacksonville SuperShow will reflect that trend,” Dulberger said.
Along with the hundreds of RVs on display, finance and insurance companies will also have booths on site to provide information to visitors considering an RV purchase.
