Even somewhat higher fuel prices won’t likely be enough to slow growth in the RV industry, the South Bend (Ind.) Tribune reported. In fact, RV shipments could increase 9% to 263,100 units from 242,300 units in 2010, according to the latest prognostication by Richard Curtin, an economist at the University of Michigan. KAR Auction Services Inc. today (Feb. 24) reported improved fourth quarter and annual financial results for the period ended Dec. 31. For the fourth quarter of 2010, the auto and RV auction firm reported revenue of $441.3 million as compared with fourth quarter 2009 revenue of $417.9 million, an increase of 6%, according to a news release.
