David Sokol A top executive of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., who was believed to have had the inside track to one day succeed billionaire Warren Buffett as CEO, has suddenly resigned. Jerry Britton Jerry W. Britton, a longtime RV and manufactured housing financier, died Monday (March 28), while exercising at a health club in Naples, Fla. He was 60. Britton was president of the Distribution Finance Group at Textron Financial Corp. (TFC). He joined the company in 2000 and was a member of the TFC Executive Committee.
