Power Outage Darkens Elkhart’s North Side

Electrical power went out at 6:10 a.m. today (April 11) on the north side of Elkhart, Ind., shutting down numerous factories, including some operations of Heartland Recreational Vehicles LLC and many other RV manufacturers and suppliers.

The outage occurred in and around the Elkhart Municipal Airport along C.R. 6.

The city experienced an electrical storm around 2 a.m. today. There was no word about the cause of the widespread outage.
