RVDA to Present DSI Awards at Annual Expo
The Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) will present the association’s Dealer Satisfaction Index (DSI) Quality Circle Awards to top-performing manufacturers at a special all-industry dinner at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nev., on Oct. 5 during the 2011 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo.
Now in its 18th year, the DSI survey began in April. Dealers have until July 1 to rate the brands/manufacturers they carry on eight factors of importance to dealers. Those areas include: sales support, sales territory, vehicle design, vehicle reliability/quality, competitive price/value, parts support, dealership warranty support and overall dealer communications.
“It’s very appropriate to present the Quality Circle Awards in conjunction with the 2011 convention,” said RVDA Chairman of the Board Tim O’Brien of Circle K RVs in Lapeer, Mich. “The dinner will offer an outstanding opportunity to celebrate and recognize excellence in RV manufacturing and business practices along with dealers and the entire RV industry.”
To qualify for the Quality Circle Award, brands/manufacturers must receive at least 15 dealer responses and score 80% or higher in overall dealer satisfaction. RVDA held the award ceremony the day before the opening of the Louisville Show in previous years. There will be a separate registration charge for the special all-industry dinner. More details on the dinner will be available as the convention approaches.
Results of this year’s DSI will be presented at Partners in Progress Brand Committee meetings during the convention on Oct. 3-4. Only dealers carrying a particular manufacturer’s brand of products may attend brand committee meetings.
Themed “ReVolution: Take Charge Today,” the convention will be filled with vital information that will prepare RV dealers and their employees to take advantage of new opportunities in today’s RV market. The education program will include workshops on wholesale and retail financing options, new inventory management strategies, and how to reach new customers through innovative marketing communications.
The 2011 convention will also feature an exhibit hall filled with the RV industry’s top companies offering products and services to help dealers improve profitability.
