SSI: March Canadian Motorhome Sales Drop

Motorhome sales in the Canadian marketplace dropped 32% in March and were down 25% for the first quarter.
According to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI), Class A sales declined 40.6% in March and 32.5% for the first three months. Year-to-date, Fleetwood RV Inc. was the leader in the category with an 18% market share while Forest River Inc. and Thor Industries Inc. both garnered 17.3%.
Class C sales also fell, dropping 15.7% in March and 10.7% for the first quarter. Jayco Inc. led in sales of Class C’s, capturing a 21.7% market share for the first three months, closely followed by Forest River with 20.7%.
