Congressional Action Seen on GSP Renewal

It appears that Congressional leadership is preparing to consider a number of trade agreements including the renewal of the Globalized System of Preferences (GSP), which provides duty-free treatment for U.S. imports including products used by the RV industry such as luan. The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) said in a press release that it has been advocating for the renewal of GSP since its expiration. The Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA) will hold the space drawing Aug. 2-4 for the mid-January 2012 Florida RV SuperShow, according to a news release. FRVTA said that each manufacturer that has returned their contract with a deposit will be called during the drawing to pick a space in the show.
