Class B motorhome or camper van retail sales were down 51.3% for April compared to 2010, and fell 37.6% for the first four months, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI).

Roadtrek Motorhomes Inc. retained its commanding lead in year-to-date Class B sales, owning a 50.8% market share. Fellow Canadian builder Pleasure-Way Industries Ltd. was second with a 26.2% market share.

Thor Industries Inc. was the top U.S. manufacturer, capturing a 16.1% market share for the first four months.
