Class B motorhome or camper van retail sales were down 34.9% for May compared to 2010, and fell 36.6% for the first five months, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI).

Roadtrek Motorhomes Inc. retained its commanding lead in year-to-date Class B sales, owning a 51.3% market share. Fellow Canadian builder Pleasure-Way Industries Ltd. was second with a 27.1% market share.

Thor Industries Inc. was the top U.S. manufacturer, capturing a 14.5% market share for the first five months.
