Eau Claire, Wisc.-based CURT Manufacturing, a leading manufacturer and marketer of top quality towing products, reported strong sales for the first half of 2011.

According to a press release, sales volume increased more than 25% versus the prior year, with receiver hitch volume at record levels for each of the first six months of the year. CURT has hired an additional 37 full-time associates, which equates to a 10% expansion in the company’s associate base from the start of the year.

Greg Hooks, CEO of CURT, noted, “We’re extremely pleased with the growth we continue to experience. The support of our customers is appreciated and never taken for granted. Thanks to the diligent efforts of all of our associates, CURT continues to deliver industry-leading order-fill rates and customer service”.

CURT is nearing completion on construction of a new 150,000 square-foot warehouse and distribution center adjacent to their existing headquarters/manufacturing facility in Eau Claire.

“This new facility will expand our inventory space and provide efficiencies which will allow CURT to continue to provide the order turn-around and accuracy we’ve become known for,” Hooks said. “We’ll start moving into this facility in early August.”
