Flooding Devastates Two Vermont Campgrounds

Tropical Storm Irene has had “a devastating effect” on the private campgrounds in Vermont and at least two have suffered “total flooding,” according to a report from Peter Daniels, executive director of the Vermont Campground Association (VCA). “Camping on the Battenkill in Arlington will not be able to access the damage until the river recedes. A group of seasonal campers at Nopiming Provincial Park says a private campground operator is charging high fees and Manitoba Conservation has turned a blind eye to it, according to the Winnipeg Free Press. Dealers gave motorhome makers high marks on five of eight subjects in the latest Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) Dealer Satisfaction Index (DSI) survey.
