SSI: Class B Motorhome Sales Decrease in June
August 17, 2011 by RV Business 2 Comments
Class B motorhome or camper van retail sales were down 20.3% in June compared to 2010, and fell 31.5% and 32.8% for the first six months and the second quarter, respectively.
According to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI), Roadtrek Motorhomes Inc. retained its commanding lead in year-to-date Class B sales, owning a 49.4% market share. Fellow Canadian builder Pleasure-Way Industries Ltd. was second with a 25.8% market share.
Thor Industries Inc. was the top U.S. manufacturer for the six months, holding the No. 3 slot with a 14.8% market share.

It is interesting information but I am curious as to what has led to the decrease in sales – is this because they are purchasing other types of RVs? Is the RV industry as a whole selling less RVs? Anyone know the answers?
Sales are down as America is back in recession (at best). The nation is broke due to government spending and burden is crushing citizens economically. The greatest burden is the $1.2 trillion war and empire budget. Until the wars and worldwide occupation are stopped, nothing will recover. It is that simple. Come home, America.
