RVDA Fights to Save Dealer-Assisted Financing

The Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) recent fact-finding roundtable on dealer lending practices signals that the commission may try to further regulate dealership financing. According to a press release, the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) and other dealer groups, including NADA, firmly “believe that consumers already have adequate protections and that more regulatory barriers to vehicle financing would hurt the RV industry and the overall economy.” RVDA said... Read more

Thor Reports 1Q Sales Bump, Profits Off Slightly

Jackson Center, Ohio-based Thor Industries Inc. reported improved sales and a dip in earnings for the company’s fiscal first quarter, ended Oct. 31. Sales for the quarter were $673 million, up 11% from $606.7 million last year. Net income for the three-month period was $22.35 million compared with nearly $23.7 million the year prior.
