Southeast Publications presented a check to Kampgrounds of America Inc.’s (KOA) Care Camps for just under $38,000 during last week’s KOA national convention in Las Vegas.

According to a press release, Southeast Publications annually holds auctions at its fall and spring meetings and whatever amount is raised by the sales associates is matched by the company.

“Since we started having the auctions at the company meetings, we have donated over $300,000 to the Care Camps,” reported Kurtis Eiben, company spokesman. “Peter Warrick, the founder of Southeast Publications, was one of the first people to be put on the Care Camps Wall of Fame. His son, Wally, has taken over the company and his passion for the Care Camps is just as big as his father’s.”

“We are looking forward to 2012,” Eiben added. Clint Bell from the San Diego KOA will be joining as an auctioneer next fall.
