Stat Surveys: Sept. Class B Sales Flat, Dip 1%

Class B motorhome or camper van retail sales were flat in September, down just 1.0% compared to 2010, but showed a 28.5% decline for the first nine months.

According to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI), Roadtrek Motorhomes Inc. retained its commanding lead in year-to-date Class B sales, owning a 48.3% market share. Fellow Canadian builder Pleasure-Way Industries Ltd. was second with a 24.8% market share.

Thor Industries Inc. was the top U.S. manufacturer for the nine months, holding the No. 3 slot with a 16.3% market share.
