Camping World Inc. will expand its aftermarket parts and accessories store in Nashville, Tenn., with the purchase of the historic Nashville Nightlife Theater for $2.4 million.

According to a report in The Tennessean, the theater, located about a mile north of the Opryland hotel, has hosted country music dinner shows the past 20 years. The theater will close in 30 days and will become an extension of the nearby Camping World store, the theater’s owner, Orba Maxey, 72, confirmed.

The news is in line with Camping World’s announced expansion plans, including opening 11 new stores in the first quarter of 2012.

As part of this new expansion initiative at the nation’s highest volume RV dealership chain, Camping World signage will soon surface in disparate locations like Conway, N.H.; Avondale, Ariz.; Spokane, Wash.; Redding, Calif.; St. George, Utah; Ashville, Raleigh and Fayetteville, N.C., and Lake City, Winter Garden and Cocoa Beach, Fla.
