Indiana RV Resort Wants 130 Seasonal Workers

Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort in Santa Claus, Ind., is hosting a job fair Feb. 4 at the Lake Rudolph office. The job fair will take place between 9 a.m. and noon (Central).

According to a press release, those interested in seasonal work this summer are invited to attend anytime during this three-hour period and fill out an application, according to a news release.

Seasonal positions are available at Lake Rudolph in the following areas: activities, housekeeping, Blitzen Kitchen, maintenance, grounds, call center, welcome center, camp store, lifeguards, security, and shuttle drivers. Applicants may speak with representatives from each department and ask any questions.

Marketing Director Dave Lovell said that the reason for the job fair, which is held annually, is to meet the tourism trade that frequents the area and general growth at the park.

“This is a very competitive market for seasonal jobs,” Lovell told RVBUSINESS.com. “Holiday World Theme Park next door hires around 2,000 seasonal workers each year as they continue their growth. We are located in a very rural area so we hire many from outside our county. We also are competing with others in the hospitality industry in the Santa Claus area.

“In addition, we added 25 new cabins and are planning to add five to 10 more cabins in 2012. These additions require more housekeepers and maintenance.”

All applicants are welcome. College students, high school students, retirees and others are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age, with some positions requiring applicants to be older. Those attending the job fair should arrive at the main entrance to the campground and will be directed where to park.

For those that are not able to attend the job fair, applications will be available at the Lake Rudolph office during regular business hours. A downloadable application is also available on the Employment page of the Lake Rudolph website. All applications must be returned by March 9.
